The website e-Learning Russian through Media Materials is for students wishing to further their study of Russian.
It is developed by professors of the Russian language of the  Center for International Education at the Lomonosov Moscow State  University. The website is intended for

  • Intermediate and advanced students of Russian
  • Heritage speakers interested in improving their knowledge of contemporary Russia
  • Prospective and practicing translators
  • Those wishing to keep abreast of new developments in Russian society

      The heart of the course e-Learning Russian through Media Materials is the web interactive textbook Russia on the air, awarded a gold medal by the Russian National Exhibition Center. Course materials can be successfully used in individual or small group settings.

      Course objectives

        The course e-Learning Russian through Media Materialsis held on the personal Student's wepbpage under the guidance of tutor (a personal distance teacher-consultant)
        The course is structured according to the option chosen and includes

      • entrance, progress, and exit testing,
      • individual consultations,
      • interactive coursework on a personal webpage, 
      • additional vocabulary and grammar lessons
      • participation in web discussions on a variety of  ñurrent  political, economic and social issues relating to  Russia and Russians,
      • tutorial feedback on a discussion board,
      • help preparing individual (elective) projects

          Distance learning with the course  Russia on the Air can be also organized without tutîrial services by selecting individual units or a package of twenty units.
